Viessmann move to Fradley

Viessmann, the German manufacturer of energy efficient heating systems has moved to the Hellmann Worldwide Logistics operated building on Fradley Park, Lichfield. The new premises will streamline the storage, retrieval and distribution of their products from their arrival at the warehouse through to dispatch to customers. This will mean that Viessmann will be able to offer next day delivery on orders placed up to 4pm.

Managing director Graham Russell said: “We have outgrown our current operation and we are pleased to be better set up for future growth.

“All our customers stand to benefit from the new warehouse as not only are we quickening delivery and slashing response times, but the warehouse’s management system and radio frequency scanning allows a far greater control of stock, saving valuable staff time and improving the accuracy of the service we deliver.”

REIT Asset Management snaps up Evans built portfolio

Evans Property Group has announced that it is to sell-off much of their existing national property portfolio to REIT Asset Management. Included in the sale will be most of the units on Fradley Park but the Group will retain the new Tesco DC that is currently under construction and the Fradley Business Village. The company will also retain the remaining undeveloped 170 acres of site for further development

Salad firm Florette UK, plans to create 100 jobs after winning planning permission for the massive extension at its Fradley headquarters. Today, Florette UK announced that they are doubling the number of jobs to 200, overtaking the initial expectations. As a result Florette UK, part of the Floreco division of the Europe-wide Soleco group, will double its annual production to more than 12,000 tons of salad and employ more than 500 people in total.

US electronics giant Motorola have teamed with British automotive experts Zytek in a new venture which will bring some 130 jobs to Fradley Park, Lichfield. Zytek are specialists in electronic automotive engineering and already produce cutting edge products for the motor industry and for Formula 1 racing cars. Zytek’s marketing manager, Chris Tremble, said that Fradley Park provided an excellent location and they hoped that the headquarters of the new joint venture – employing some 130 people would be operational in two years.
