Global developer Prologis has started the speculative development of a 542,940sqft 12m high unit, the largest of four proposed buildings. Completion will be in the first quarter of 2006 and two further speculative units of 127,200sqft and 69,900sqft to follow.

The new year has seen the opening of a new multi million pound development at the site. Two new giant warehouse units are now up for grabs for any companies which want to move into the park dubbed the area’s premier employment site. The Mayor of Stafford confirmed progress on this key development site at junction 14, M6 with a formal sod cutting ceremony today. Steve Ellis of developers Blackbrook Valley developments confirmed that hotel operator, Scottish and Newcastle, had completed negotiation and will commence construction works in early 2002. Mr Ellis also indicated that there was strong interest from other end users to locate on the site. The first phase of roadworks to open open up the site will be completed in early 2002.

Mid Staffs 14 gets a new name as work begins on site. As new roadworks onto the site start next week, the site has been rebranded Prime Point. Blackbrook Valley Developments state that the road infrastructure will allow construction of up to 30 units to get underway before the end of the year. The park will include a hotel, pub and restaurant run by the Scottish & Newcastle chain.

Leading Midlands based commercial developer Trebor Developments and Seddon Developments have formed a joint venture to develop further industrial units in Staffordshire on a new industrial site extending to 11.7 acres, known as Prime Point 14, located within 1 mile of Junction 14, M6, Staffordshire.

Infrastructure works have started to prepare the site to deliver two industrial units, comprising 66,000 sq. ft. and 78,000 sq. ft. Seddon Construction have been appointed as contractor for the infrastructure works, which is expected to take 5 months to complete and provide a fully serviced site capable of accommodating the two industrial facilities on a fast track basis.

The two units will be capable of providing accommodation in early 2019, suitable for manufacturing or logistics/distribution uses.

Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner of Trebor Developments, on behalf of Trebor/Seddon commented: “The shortage of quality, industrial and logistics accommodation across the West Midlands and Staffordshire area has provided us with the confidence to award the full infrastructure contract for this site. With detailed planning now in place to deliver the two units, following completion of the enabling works we will be able to deliver units to meet occupiers’ demands within 6 months.

The Prime Point 14 development will have an overall end value in excess of £13 million and provide many new jobs in the Staffordshire area”.

Leading Midlands based commercial developer Trebor Developments and Seddon Developments have formed a joint venture to develop further industrial units in Staffordshire on a new industrial site extending to 11.7 acres, known as Prime Point 14, located within 1 mile of Junction 14, M6, Staffordshire.

Planning consent has been granted for the development, which will provide a 2 unit scheme of 66,000 sq. ft. and 78,000 sq. ft., with work due to commence on site from summer 2017 and phased delivery of each unit.

Trebor Developments and Seddon Developmentsa joint venture to develop further industrial units in Staffordshire has been granted detailed planning approval consent.

The scheme will deliver 2 large quality units, capable of production (B2) or distribution use (B8), being 66,000 and 78,000 sq ft.

Work on site will commence in Spring 2017, allowing for buildings to be occupied by the end of next year.A The speculative development is being undertaken to deliver much needed quality industrial accommodation in the Staffordshire area.

The consent was granted on the same day as Treboras adjacent speculative industrial development achieved practical completion, Triton at Redhill Business Park, providing 115,000 sq ft of quality accommodation for immediate occupation and in which strong interest has already been shown.

Proposals for new speculative development in Stafford

Leading Midlands Commercial developer, Trebor Developments, have teamed up with development and construction partner, Seddon, and agreed contracts to purchase a 11.7 acre site in Stafford, adjacent to Redhill Business Park.

The site, known as Prime Point 14, represents the last plot remaining adjacent to Prologis Park, Stafford development, which delivered over 1 million sq ft of industrial and logistic accommodation over the last 10 years.

The Trebor/Seddon partnership have entered into contract to purchase the site, subject to planning consent being granted.A A planning application was submitted this week for two high quality industrial units of 76,400 sq ft and 64,200 sq ft.A The developers propose to develop the first building on a speculative basis, with delivery during 2017.

This major scheme comes on top of another speculative industrial development of 115,000 sq ft, which Trebor are delivering on the adjacent Redhill Business Park (Project Triton), which is due for completion in December 2016.
