Stoke independent brewers the Titanic Brewery have signed a major deal with Tesco.

The deal expands the listing of its most popular beers. They have been in 37 stores in Staffordshire for years, but now the supermarket giant is expanding the range to more outlets.

It will now be listed in 51 stores across the whole region.

Their multi-award winning beers Plum Porter and Iceberg have seen strong sales figures as the craft beer trend continues to grow.

Managing director at Titanic Breweries Keith Bott said: “We are thrilled at Titanic Brewery that Plum Porter and Iceberg will now be available to more of Tesco’s customers. Brewing beer in Stoke on Trent for over thirty years we have always wanted our fabulous beer to be available to everyone in our Staffordshire heartland and surrounding counties.

“This news means that our beer will be on sale in more than 51 stores across Staffordshire and Cheshire as well as heartland Tesco Express stores giving Tesco customers genuine local choice.”

Sophie Dillon, buying manager at Tesco, adds: “We’re looking forward to developing our relationship with Titanic and working with them as they expand their business.

“Our customers are always happy to support local businesses and Titanic’s beers have been extremely popular for a number of years now. We’re always on the lookout for the very best local products to share with consumers and Titanic’s beers are a refreshing choice for any occasion.”
