East Staffordshire

East Staffordshire is a local government district with borough status in Staffordshire in England. It has two main towns: Burton upon Trent, famous for its breweries, and Uttoxeter, renowned for its racecourse.

The borough was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of the former county borough of Burton upon Trent with Urban District of Uttoxeter, and Rural Districts of Tutbury and Uttoxeter.

East Staffordshire has a number of leisure facilities and cultural venues including the Brewhouse Arts Centre. Burton-on-Trent is home to The National Football Centre at St George's Park, the National Brewery Centre and Hoar Cross Hall which combines the sumptuous pleasures of staying in an elegant English Stately Home with the facilities of a superb modern Spa Resort.
